The Florida Lottery has published an update on its winners for May 2025. In that month alone, five players won prizes of over a million dollars.

Three Winners Became Millionaires

On August 25, the Florida Lottery listed Kelly Hagens, Judith Van Hauer, Joel Zebell, Jennifer Hatchett, and Jenny Acree as its top winners for May 2025. The lottery provided details about the mouth-watering prizes they won, as well as the names of the shops where the winning tickets were sold.

According to the lottery, Hagens, Jacksonville Beach, was the biggest winner for the month. The 56-year-old claimed the stellar $8.75 million Florida Lotto jackpot from the May 7 drawing. The lottery clarified that Hagens selected the lump sum option, taking $4.8 million home. The winning ticket was sold at the J & J Food Store in Jacksonville Beach.

On May 23, Van Hauer bought a $20 scratch-off ticket from a Circle K store in Ellenton. After checking the ticket, she understood that she had won a staggering $5 million. Just like Hagens, she went with the lump sum option, receiving $2.9 million. The lottery noted that the woman was playing the HASBRO-licensed MONOPOLY SECRET VAULT game.

Zebell, 51, of Land O Lakes, was the final recipient of a multi-million dollar prize. The player won the $5 million top prize from the Florida Lottery’s $5,000,000 CA$H MONEY scratch-off game and received a lump-sum payment of $3 million. The winning ticket was purchased from a Circle K store in Land O Lakes.

Two Players Took $640K Home Each

In addition to that, two players won prizes of $1 million from the $1,000,000 A YEAR FOR LIFE SPECTACULAR scratch-off game.

Hatchett, 47, of Ocala, won her prize after buying a ticket from a Medical Food Mart store in Ocala. She selected the lump sum option, leaving her with $640K before taxes.

Acree, 49, of Port St. Joe, on the other hand, purchased her winning ticket from the Express Lane store in Port St. Joe. Like the rest of the May winners, she went with the lump-sum payment of $640K.

Other Players in America Win Big

In other news, a man from North Carolina just turned a $10 scratch-off ticket into a $1 million payday. The prize in question was won on a 50X The Cash ticket purchased at Moe’s Mini Mart in Pembroke, the NC Education Lottery announced.

Elsewhere, an Illinois grandfather won $200K after settling for a different ticket after learning that his go-to game was sold out. The man won the prize on a 7X Bingo Multiplier ticket purchased from the Jewel-Osco store in Oswego.
